Here to help, not judge.
Bernadette Valentinetti, MA, CAADC, LPC, RN
From a young age, I always knew I wanted to help others. After exploring the nursing path and never feeling completely fulfilled, I finally found my calling when I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2016, and I haven’t looked back since.
Treatment Approach
I believe that a combination of therapeutic interventions developed with the specific person and their goals in mind is the best approach. I operate from a trauma-informed approach that is solution-focused. I am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, person-centered, and strength-based treatment approaches for individuals.

Client Focus
I generally work with adults and teenagers (ages 14+) who want to work on anxiety, depression, processing through traumatic events, and overcoming addiction. I have experience working with individuals with impulse control disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, psychosis, and thinking disorders. Some specific issues I work with frequently include; alcohol abuse, behavioral issues, bipolar disorder, borderline personality, chronic impulsivity, chronic relapse, codependency, coping skills, drug abuse, dual diagnosis, gambling, relationship issues, self-esteem, self-harming, stress, substance abuse, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
